Why study English in Dubai?

English is a global, international language which is spoken all over the world. Arabic is the official language, but English is the most commonly spoken language. In Dubai you will have the chance to meet other international students and practice in this amazing city.

 What is EP Dubai like?

EP Dubai is located in the Knowledge Park close to Dubai’s famous attractions such as the Palm Jumeriah. Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab. We have classrooms equipped with the latest technology, spaces to relax and study and professional, well-qualified teachers. Like all our other centres, you will be part of the EP family. Don’t forget we have a slightly different timetable at EP Dubai and classes run from Sunday to Thursday.

Are there different rules and laws in Dubai?

Dubai is an Islamic country meaning some of the rules and customs might be different to where you are from. Like when visiting anywhere, you need to be respectful of these customs in how you dress and behave with local people. The EP team will be there to help you with any questions you may have.

Can I practice English outside the classroom?

Did you know that 85% of Dubai’s population are from different countries around the world? This means that English is spoken in nearly all places in Dubai and you can expect to see signs and menus in both English and Arabic. It’s the perfect place to practice your English, don’t you think?

What courses are available in Dubai?

AT EP Dubai you can study General English in the morning or afternoon and you can also prepare for your IELTS exam. The IELTS exam is one of the most well-known English exams around the world and can be used to show your English level for jobs and if you want to study in different universities around the world. We also have business courses at our sister college, GBS.

Can EP help you find accommodation in Dubai?

Yes of course we can! We work with two residences; the Myriad and UniNest which are 20-30 minutes away from the school (there is a free shuttle bus) and have en-suite rooms and great facilities including a rooftop pool, outdoor cinema, gym, library and lounge. Here at EP we take your welfare very seriously and will do our best to help with any problems you may have, but we’re sure you will have a great time!

What can I do in Dubai?

Dubai is famous for it’s amazing shopping malls, historic market souks, magnificent skyscrapers and natural sand dunes in the desert. There is always something to do in Dubai and the team at EP is here to help you enjoy your time. We arrange social programme activities for you to join, whether you will have the chance to meet other students, practice your English and most importantly make magical memories!
