Course overview
'Build confidence, work hard and have fun – Learn how to use English more effectively in real-life situations’
The General English Semi-Intensive course is 20 lessons in the morning or the afternoon plus one extra lesson per day (e.g. functional language/pronunciation/writing/authentic listening/speaking and discussion) The additional lesson builds on language from the main sessions with a focus on a particular area e.g. writing or functional English for real-life situations.
The General English programme develops your English language and communication skills, giving you the confidence and ability to function in everyday situations. Through a communicative approach, you will practise your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. With General English Semi-Intensive Courses, there are also many opportunities to learn these skills in a variety of ‘real-life’ situations.
English Path offers six levels of General English courses from Beginner to Advanced. Our Beginner level class accepts students with very little exposure to English. Lower level students may also choose to increase their progress by taking additional 1-1 classes. In contrast, our Advanced General English class is for students with high level communicative skills. Some students may also consider an intensive course to accelerate their learning or go on to study an examination preparation course. For those students who would like more time to explore the city in which they’re studying, we recommend the 'Classic 20' or 'Semi-intensive 25' course."
